Cosy Hauz is a property development company specialising in acquiring and restoring often neglected, uninhabitable properties in desirable locations. Initially focused on converting residential properties to Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs), our strategy now includes converting residential properties into HMOs, flats, and luxury homes, which we put up for rental or sale. We also offer property sourcing and planning services to external clients.

Our team takes pride in transforming rundown homes into stylish, comfortable dwellings across South West London. With a scalable business model, we create Better Homes, providing our investors with Better Returns.

Our Story

Founded in 2018 by our CEO Xuan Meng during her maternity leave, Cosy Hauz started with an investment of £450,000 from her personal savings, remortgaging her home, and selling a flat. Despite financial constraints, Xuan’s innovative approach to property development led to our company’s success, overcoming challenges like the pandemic and interest rate hikes.

Today, we maintain a property portfolio worth over £21 million and enjoy a 60% year-on-year revenue growth. Xuan’s background in asset management has been crucial, enabling her to navigate investment analysis and financial appraisals, contributing to our outstanding financial performance. Cosy Hauz boasts a robust passive income stream from rentals, ensuring sustainability even during economic downturns.

Cosy Hauz has evolved into a diverse organisation spanning three geographical locations and nationalities, with nearly 70% of our team members being female and many of whom are working mothers. Hiring overseas, particularly from the Philippines, has transformed our operational model, leading to major improvements and efficiencies in our company processes.

We have been reaching our goals and growing rapidly over the years, and our achievements have earned accolades from prestigious bodies like the Property Investor Awards and HMO Awards.
